President Trump led a standing ovation for Bill and Hillary Clinton at the inaugural luncheon on Friday afternoon.
“I was honored, very, very honored when I heard that President Bill Clinton and Secretary Hillary Clinton was coming today. And I think it’s appropriate to say — I’d like you to stand up, I’d like you to stand up,” Trump said, clapping loudly for the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee.
“And honestly, there’s nothing more to say because I have a lot of respect for those two people,” Trump added.
During the campaign, Trump promised to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Clinton over her emails while secretary of state. He has backed away from that since the election.
