After a struggled over the MPAA giving the film “Bully” an R rating, the Weinstein Company decided to release the movie without a rating. Sometimes when a studio decides to do that, the content of the film is usually too racy or mature, and thus most theathers will treat it as an NC-17 rating — which often means they will not screen to film.
But AMC Theaters has decided to screen the film, but kids under the age of 17 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guadian — or bring in a slip from their parents granting permission. A permission slip will be available for download on the AMC website. “Bully” focuses on a set of stories that look at the crisis of bullying in America.
