DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s County fire officials say a fire at a District Heights apartment building has displaced dozens of residents.
Officials say the fire broke out at a three-story building in the 1900 block of Rochelle Avenue about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday. About 75 firefighters battled the three-alarm blaze for nearly hour before extinguishing it.
No serious injuries were reported.
Officials say about 30 residents were displaced. A temporary shelter was opened at Central High School for them.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
