Even as an unidentified robber grabbed an elderly woman’s purse and punched her in the face several times in New York City on Sept. 28, dragging her back to the sidewalk and trying to pry it loose from her hand, the woman held tight to her purse, a video posted by the New York Police Department on Wednesday showed. The would-be thief ultimately left the scene empty-handed, according to the video.
