Rep. Tulsi Gabbard already annoyed by Congress

Even members of Congress hate Congress. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) who arrived in Washington just this January, is already fed up with the legislative branch.

“As I sit there…I just wonder, ‘What are we doing?’” she began. “[I’m] very, very frustrated serving in a Congress that’s completely unpopular, that all of America is frustrated with and where I can have a 16-hour day, and at the end of the day, feel like I’ve accomplished nothing,” she griped at Wednesday’s Make Progress National Summit, a gathering of college-aged progressives taking place in downtown D.C.

Gabbard also explained her biggest pet peeve.

“Because we are talking about issues that seem to be idiotic, and not only are a waste of time, but end up actually hurting people,” she concluded.
