Politico has posted the crosstabs from their George Washington University Battleground poll, and the results are not good for President Obama. Not only is Obama down a point to Mitt Romney in a head to head match-up, 48 percent to 47 percent, but a plurality of those voters who are undecided say they believe Obama’s policies have made the economy worse.

When asked, “Now thinking about the policies of President Obama and his Administration – Do you believe Obama’s policies have: helped make the economy better, had no impact on the economy, or made the economy worse?” 40 percent said Obama had made the economy better, 39 percent dais he made it worse, and 19 percent said Obama’s policies had no impact.

But among those respondents who self identified as independents, only 33 percent said Obama had made the economy better, 18 percent said Obama has had no impact, and 43 percent said Obama has made the economy worse.

Obama does only slightly better among those who are currently undecided between him and Romney. Thirty-six percent of undecided voters believe Obama has had no impact on the economy, only 20 percent believe he has helped the economy, and 35 percent believe Obama has hurt the economy.
