Eric Holder: Trump supporters are trying to ‘fan’ Biden sexual assault allegation

Former Attorney General Eric Holder alleged that President Trump’s supporters are fanning the flames of the allegation that Joe Biden sexually harassed and assaulted a former Senate staffer.

Holder, who served as Obama’s attorney general from 2009 to 2015, was on Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday when he was asked about Tara Reade’s allegation that Biden sexually assaulted her when she was an aide in 1993.

Holder quickly turned it back on the president and his supporters, saying, “It’s interesting that the people who are trying to fan this thing are the very people who support Donald Trump, and of course, who say nothing about the allegations that have been raised, I think very credibly, against Trump for a number of women over a long period of time.”

“What is described is inconsistent with the person who I’ve come to know and who I’ve worked with,” he added. “His denial is consistent with the Joe Biden that I know.”

As Holder mentioned, Trump has been accused of sexual misconduct by more than two dozen women.

Trump, when asked about the allegations surrounding his likely 2020 opponent, said, “I think that he should respond, you know. It could be false accusations. I know all about false accusations. I have been falsely charged numerous times.”
