In wake of being connected to Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi, rapper 50 Cent joins Beyonce, Usher, Mariah Carey and Nelly Furtado as artists who have donated money to benefit those affected by the turmoil in Libya.
The Associated Press received a statement from on behalf of the rapper, whose also has his own charitable foundation G-Unity, that he will make a monetary donation to UNICEF, which has been providing relief to those in need throughout the stricken country.
The link to the Libyian leader dates back to 2005, when 50 Cent performed at a private event at the Venice Film Festival that was later linked to the Gadhafi family.
