The cemetery will have a open house Wednesday night at the Pentagon City Sheraton to talk about its plans. The expansion on its south side would be to an area around the Air Force Memorial. The plan would also include realigning a roadway.
The cemetery was founded in the mid 1800s and is comprised of 624 acres just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. More than 400,000 U.S. service members are buried there.
