In her most recent column for the Daily Beast, Meghan McCain finally explains what prompted her to ditch that speaking engagement at Juniata College last September and flee to Vegas.
She got dumped. By her boyfriend. In a five-line e-mail.
Ouch.
“I cancelled the speech and fled to Vegas for a girl’s weekend,” she explained. She also lashed out at the media coverage of the incident. “It wasn’t so much that I had cancelled a speaking engagement,” she wrote “It was that I was in Vegas instead.”
McCain brought up Sin City in her column, arguing that Americans should be going to the Vegas, which was hit harder by the recession than almost any other U.S. city.
