“We’d like to say ‘Happy Birthday!’ to our former friend @Snowden,” a mock account for the NSA said in a tweet to the former NSA contractor. “Your present is at the front desk in Ft. Meade.”

“That’s so thoughtful! I’ll leave yours on the front page,” Snowden responded, who leaked troves of the agency’s secrets in 2013.

Snowden, who escaped arrest by fleeing the country, celebrated his birthday in Moscow.
