McDonnell heads to Hill, SW Virginia

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell heads to Capitol Hill for a meeting with Virginia’s congressional delegation on Wednesday – and the lawmakers will certainly not lack for topics to discuss.

The state’s redistricting process is heating up. Former Gov. Tim Kaine is inching closer toward a possible Senate run. And recent data show the Commonwealth’s fiscal situation is improving.

The entire state, however, was rocked earlier this week when a gunman killed two sheriff’s deputies in southwest Virginia.

On Thursday, McDonnell will attend memorial services for fallen Buchanan County Sheriff’s deputies William “Billy” Ezra Stiltner and Cameron Neil Justus, who were killed in the incident.
