The director of the Reston Zoo, Meghan Mogensen, 26, of Silver Spring, was arrested Monday on an animal cruelty charge following the death of a wallaby. Fairfax County animal control officers also charged her with possession of a controlled substance following a five-month investigation. Authorities said employees have accused Mogensen of drowning an injured wallaby.
