Powerball winnings are now $522 million dollars after no one had the winning numbers on New Year’s Day.
Saturday’s winning numbers were 6, 12, 39, 48, 50, and 7. Despite nobody correctly matching the lottery numbers and Powerball number, a few players did walk away with some cash, according to a Powerball statement.
“More than 2.7 million tickets won prizes ranging from $4 to $2 million,” the Powerball statement said. “Some of the top-winning tickets included three winning Match 5 tickets worth $1 million each sold in Arizona, California and Florida.”
The Powerball jackpot has been increasing since October, when a California player last matched the winning numbers for a $699.8 million prize. There have been 38 consecutive drawings without a winner.
