The Redskins depth chart included a couple interesting nuggets:
1. Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly both are listed as third team receivers. Considering Kelly can’t get on the field, I’m surprised he’s that high. The No. 2 wideouts, for now, are Roydell Williams and Anthony Armstrong. I’ve liked Williams more. Maybe the depth chart doesn’t mean a lot right now, but it is telling where Thomas is listed.

2. John Beck is the No. 4 QB; that won’t last for long.
3. Willie Parker as the No. 4 back? I get it; Ryan Torain, at No. 3, is a better all-around back — he can block and catch passes; plus he’s a special teams guy. If Torain stays healthy, he should earn a spot ahead of Parker.
4. Andre Carter as the No. 1 LOLB. Again, not a surprise considering this morning he worked strictly with the starters. His time had gradually increased. Carter had a good day rushing the passer, though the Redskins went without pads.
5. Justin Tryon is the fourth corner? Didn’t think he’d fallen that far. I will say, Kevin Barnes, listed as DeAngelo Hall‘s top backup, has improved. His size and ranginess gives him an edge; he’s been a lot more disciplined. But Tryon is listed behind Ramzee Robinson, who has done a fairly solid job. The corners have a lot of depth.
6. Albert Haynesworth is listed as the No. 2 NT, but that was to be expected after he’d missed so much time.
