A moratorium is declared on “the world stage”

The Brits are fancy.

Today it was the Foreign and Commonwealth Office near 10 Downing Street for a joint press conference with President Obama and Prime Minister Gordon Brown. The usual waiting around ensued.

Michael Scherer of Time magazine.

Have you heard? Obama is now on the “world stage.” First lady Michelle Obama is also appearing on that stage. Can we stop reporting that now? Thank you.

Chuck Todd of NBC and Steve Thomma of McClatchy Newspapers await their moment on the world stage.

Elegant repose: Jonathan Weisman, WSJ.

It is 4:15 a.m. in the states. Who could he possibly be emailing with?? Or this a case of Brickbreaker?

 The engima:

Not exactly like the Brady Briefing Room — but not altogether dumpy, either.

Obama said what?!

Thomma and Michael Shear of the Washington Post, who now that he mentions it, does look a little like Dan Quayle here.

Expecting someone?
