Investigators believe the Sunday fire that killed a 6-year-old boy started accidentally, according to Prince George’s County fire and emergency services.
Authorities are still determining exactly how the fire started, authorities said.
Officials on Monday identified the boy as Omari Noel. He was killed when the home on the 2400 block of Griffen Street in the Lewisdale area caught fire at about 3:45 a.m.
Two women, the boy’s mother and aunt, remain hospitalized in critical condition, the fire department said Monday. Another woman, his grandmother, escaped from the home before fire crews arrived.
