A Monday evening fundraiser at the Homer Building in Washington for young GOP professionals raked in $300,000 for Mitt Romney.
Although Romney himself was absent, House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) widely considered a contender for the GOP VP nomination, attended along with Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio), who were the headliners for the event. They also participated in a VIP photo session.

The over 700 attendees paid a minimum of $100 to get in the door, or paid $250 to get into the VIP reception.
