A major water main broke near the National Mall Friday night, closing part of Constitution Avenue and the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History.
The water main break has closed Constitution Avenue between 9th Street NW and 12th Street NW, the D.C. Department of Transportation said. Tenth Street NW is also closed from Constitution to Pennsylvania Avenue.
The Smithsonian said the natural history museum would be be closed all day Saturday.
