Kim Jong Un: ‘Dotard’ Trump will ‘pay dearly’ for UN speech threatening North Korea

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said he will make President Trump “pay dearly” for his speech to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday.

“I will surely and definitely tame the mentally deranged U.S. dotard with fire,” Kim said of the speech, which he described as “calling for totally destroying” North Korea. Speaking to world leaders in New York on Tuesday, Trump taunted Kim, calling him “Rocket Man,” and warned that the U.S. would have “no choice but to totally destroy North Korea” if the rogue regime threatened the U.S. or its allies.

“I am now thinking hard about what response he could have expected when he allowed such eccentric words to trip off his tongue,” Kim said in a statement released by the state Korean Central News Agency.

The Trump administration released new financial sanctions Thursday against North Korea which would limit foreign companies to conduct business with either only the United States or North Korea.

“Foreign banks will face a clear choice: do business with the United States or facilitate trade with the lawless regime in North Korea,” Trump said during a summit with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and South Korean President Moon Jae-in Thursday. “It is unacceptable that others financially support this criminal, rogue regime.”
