Cruise-Snyder deal target of rumors

Is the fledgling partnership between Redskins owner Dan Snyder and actor Tom Cruise to finance movies already on the rocks?

FoxNews.com’s Roger Friedman wrote on Friday that Snyder’s end of the deal was “bought out sometime in the last few months,” in part because of the ideological gulf between Republican Snyder and the liberal Cruise. He also said Robert Redford’s upcoming anti-war film, “Lions for Lambs,” which Cruise backed, could cause Snyder some “uneasy moments.”

Then on Monday, Friedman ran comments from Snyder spokesman Karl Swanson, who said Snyder thinks the film is “intelligent” and causes him no uneasy moments, and that his interest in the production company has not been bought out.
