Running for office in Nevada again and again and again, perennial and prolapsed Republican candidate Danny Tarkanian has attracted the endorsements of prominent social conservatives like National Right to Life and former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
But last Saturday, Tarkanian picked up a new endorsement that will never go away.
The owner and operator of the Moonlite Bunny Ranch, Dennis Hof, endorsed Tarkanian in his bid to unseat incumbent Republican Sen. Dean Heller. The two appeared side by side at the Nye County Fair Saturday, sharing an exhibition tent for what Hof described on Twitter as “a fun weekend.”
Now Tarkanian faces the political equivalent of syphilis, because Hof is the country’s most prominent pimp.

Prostitution is legal in Nevada outside of Las Vegas, but that doesn’t make Hof any less disgusting. By his count, he has bedded more than 4,000 women, a total that includes each of his female employees at the Bunny Ranch. Three years ago, Hof even bragged to BuzzFeed about sleeping with a woman who “just turned 18 yesterday. The little girl started on her birthday.”
And when he isn’t pimping teenagers, Hof has literally auctioned women off. A year ago, he tried selling the virginity of a destitute 20-year-old desperate to help her family after a fire burned their home. Hof would set up the sale and collect 50 percent of the final price. Bidding reached nearly $400,000.
None of this bothers the bordello owner, who compares pimping to real estate. “Prostitution,” he explains in his book, “is a lot like time-shares, you’re not really buying the property. You’re just visiting for a short period of time.” And maybe this won’t jar more libertarian types, but it will scare social conservatives away from Tarkanian.
That’s a problem for populist nationalists like Breitbart CEO Steve Bannon who have made him their champion in a guerilla war against the establishment. After helping Bible-thumping Roy Moore win in Alabama, Bannon now finds himself allied with the pimp pushing Tarkanian. A bad look for the party of traditional values.
