While it may seem late in the primary season, now that the Iowa caucus is less than a week away, we may see a new feud emerging. Donald Trump and Rand Paul have hardly gone at at it before, likely because the front-runner considers Paul too insignificant to waste his time on.
Larry Wilmore, who is often hardly sympathetic to views held by the Republican Party, or to Trump, had Paul on his show. Salon is just as anti-Republican and anti-Trump. But, they’ve been a little less cruel to Paul compared to his opponents. They were all to happy to report on insults towards Trump and provide a video of his appearance on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore.

As Salon reported, Wilmore dedicated the top of the show to Donald Trump’s hate-filled supporters and but [sic] the second act of the show he sat down with Rand Paul to ask WTF about Trump.” Wilmore referred to Paul as the “Nightly Show Optics Expert,” which may explain his response:
Wilmore tried to perceive it that “the eye is the conservative voter, and Donald Trump is the speck of dirt?” He wasn’t quite getting it though, and so Paul had to explain, which involved a further insult sounding like it could come from Trump himself: “Donald Trump is a delusional narcissist, and an orange-faced windbag. A speck of dirt is way more qualified to be president. ”
Paul was referring to the second GOP debate, hosted by CNN, Trump used his time during a question to wonder why Paul was even on stage with his poll numbers. Paul, in turn, responded, that it was “a non-sequitur” and something out of “junior high.”
Soon after, during an appearance on CNN’s New Day, he called Trump a clown and questioned how any Republican could think Trump “is fit to be president?”
More recently, he expressed on Facebook that voters should not “elect Gollum,” referring to, of course, Trump.
