Before being installed on July 15, McKenny worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Va. He spent nine years evaluating financial organizations? accounting and operational practices. Prayer service to celebrate Feast of Mary Magdalene
St. Francis de Sales will host a prayer service to celebrate the feast of Saint Mary of Magdala and women of the early church at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Stone Chapel. All are invited to attend. A reception will follow the service. The parish is located at 1450 Abingdon Road in Abingdon.

Lambert explores beauty of mikvah
Dr. Rivvah Lambert will explore the mikvah?s beauty, Jewish laws of family purity, and spiritual and non-spiritual uses of a mikvah. Chana Englander will perform Confessions of a Mikvah Lady at the Jewish Museum of Maryland 15 Lloyd St., Baltimore. 11 a.m. Sunday. $5 for non-members.
