Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling confirmed Tuesday that he plans to run against Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren in 2018.
Schilling said in his mind, the decision has been made, but he still has to confer with his family before anything is official.
“I’ve made my decision. I’m going to run,” he said on Rhode Island radio station WPRO. “But I haven’t talked to Shonda, my wife. And ultimately it’s going to come down to how her and I feel this would affect our marriage and our kids.”
The former major leaguer has discussed his political aspiration before, saying in August that he might run for president one day after first winning state office.
He has been vocally pro-Donald Trump during this election cycle and anti-Hillary Clinton, once calling her “the epitome of a very bad, bad evil human being.”
