Looking for a smooth track to wiretap to? Then “Tap It: The NSA Slow Jam” fits the bill.
Fresh on the heels of a bevy of scandals from the National Security Agency, ReasonTV released a hot new wiretapping track called Tap It: The NSA Slow Jam.
“Nokia, iPhone, Galaxy 3, Facebook and your search history. Gmail, voicemail, I’m gonna grab it. If it’s got an on/off switch, baby, I’ll tap it,” croons Remy Munasifi in “Tap It’s” music video.
The song’s video features Munasifi masquerading as an NSA agent tapping into citizens’ phone, emails and social networking sites.
It also features two fictional politicians, Rep. Pat Riotact and Rep. T.R. Ustme, who disagree on whether wiretapping is legal — a narrative similar to that which is taking place on Capitol Hill.
If “The NSA Slow Jam” isn’t the beat you’re bumping to while wiretapping, you’re doing something wrong.
