Disappointments: Riley, Hudson not coming to WHCD

Well, this is sad. As the big day draws near there are several stars who are now not coming to Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner.

The first is “Glee’s” Amber Riley. We originally reported that Riley would be coming as a guest of Fox News. Our source at the network said she’ll no longer be in Washington because of an extra scheduled rehearsal for the “Glee” summer tour. Riley’s publicist said the “Glee” star’s attendance was never officially confirmed. “Her attendance was always pending production,” she explained in an email. On Wednesday, Riley had chimed in on Twitter after getting heat from followers for potentially attending with Fox. “Nope. Not going to any [correspondents] dinner. You can put the forks and torches away now lol #angrytwittermob,” she wrote.

Our Fox source added that Bridget Moynahan would also no longer be attending. Earlier reports that Kate Hudson would be Greta Van Susteren‘s guest are also false.

Guests now coming with Fox include “Glee’s” Matthew Morrison, “Gossip Girl’s” Chace Crawford, screenwriter and director Dustin Lance Black, “True Blood’s” Ryan Kwanten, Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., and Newt and Callista Gingrich.
