HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — A Hagerstown youth has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for shooting a man in an apparent retaliation for a stabbing.
Seventeen-year-old Dennis Marshall Jr. pleaded guilty to attempted murder while a jury trial was under way. He was sentenced Thursday.

The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown (http://bit.ly/Qes0fX) reports that Marshall admitted to shooting Colin Williams of Hagerstown on Oct. 17. Prosecutors say the shooting was in apparent retaliation for the Oct. 6 stabbing of Malik Scott by Williams.
Williams pleaded guilty to assault for stabbing Scott and testified for the state in Marshall’s trial.
