Clinton labor secretary: Bill ‘has to stop the paid speeches’

Former President Bill Clinton “has to stop the paid speeches” and start disclosing everything if he wants his wife Hillary to succeed in her bid for the White House, said Bill Clinton’s former Labor Secretary Robert Reich.

Asked on ABC News’ “This Week” if he thinks there are any fundamental problems with Hillary Clinton’s campaign, Reich replied that “the issue of sort of disclosure, of full disclosure, is a key vulnerability.”

“She has got to, and her husband as well, got to just put everything out. I mean more disclosure than any other candidate,” said Reich, Bill Clinton’s Labor secretary from 1993 until 1997.

“I think that what she has done on immigration, on voting rights, on criminal defense and criminal justice system I think are very, very important statements,” added Reich. “She’s put her Republican opponents on the defensive.”

Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign has struggled as it emerged that the Clinton Foundation accepted vast, undisclosed foreign donations during her time as secretary of state, and according to critics, acted as a sort of “slush fund” for her campaign.
