Hillary Clinton expanded her lead over Donald Trump to 7 points in Wisconsin, according to a new poll of likely voters that was conducted just before and after a video was released showing Trump making lewd remarks about women.
The Marquette University poll said Clinton leads with 44 percent support to Trump’s 37 percent, a 4-point swing in less than a month. In Marquette’s previous poll in mid-September, Trump only trailed by 3 points (41-38).

Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson took 9 percent, while Green Party nominee Jill Stein won just 3 percent. The poll was conducted from Oct. 6-9 and has a margin of error of 3.9 percentage points.
Clinton saw a massive upswing in support after the video was released Friday evening. On Saturday and Sunday, the final two days of the poll, Clinton won 49-30. Trump led on Thursday, 41-40, and Clinton led on Friday, 44-38.
Clinton also saw her numbers spike over the course of the polling with women, independents, and evangelicals.
Trump was supposed to campaign in Wisconsin alongside House Speaker Paul Ryan and Gov. Scott Walker on Saturday, but was disinvited to the event following the release of the tape. Since then, Ryan has said he does not plan to defend Trump anymore and does not plan to campaign with him ahead of Election Day.
With less than a month until election day, Clinton maintains a lead in the state, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average, and holds a 6.8-point advantage over the real estate mogul.
