CMS official overseeing Obamacare rollout to retire

Michelle Snyder, who oversaw the rollout of President Obama‘s health care law as chief operating officer of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, is retiring, the agency announced on Monday.

In a statement cited by the New York Times, CMS administrator Marilyn Tavenner said Snyder had been ready to retire at the end of 2012, but remained at the agency “at my request to help me with the challenges facing CMS in 2013.”
