Technology and management consulting firm Acentia is moving its headquarters from Silver Spring to Falls Church, Gov. Bob McDonnell announced Monday.
The relocation will move 200 employees to and create 60 new jobs in Fairfax County, investing $3.1 million in the process, according to a statement from the Fairfax Economic Development Authority. The offices will occupy two floors of 3130 Fairview Park Drive in Falls Church.
The announcement is the latest part of an ongoing competition between Montgomery and Fairfax counties — and between Maryland and Virginia — to retain existing businesses while also attracting new jobs.
