The Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., is banning reporters and other members of the media from the property this week.
The hotel, owned by the federal government but leased by President-elect Trump and his family, said it was keeping reporters out “in respect of the privacy of our guests.”
According to a report in Politico, a reporter had a breakfast meeting at the hotel but was stopped at the door. When the reporter identified himself as a journalist he was told the media was not allowed.
The Trump family has a 60-year lease on the property.
