McDonald’s Corp. says a key sales figure rose 3.7 percent in August, as the fast-food chain emphasized the value of its menu offerings amid a challenging global economy.
The increase followed a disappointing performance in July, when the figure came in flat. It was the worst performance in nine years; the figure had grown every month since April 2003, including during the recession.
