Celebrity chef and TV personality Anthony Bourdain couldn’t keep himself from making a food analogy Tuesday when describing Republican nominee Donald Trump’s tan.
During a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) promoting the second season of the Balvenie distillery web series “Raw Craft,” Bourdain referenced the bombastic candidate’s skin tone in response to a question about whether anything about himself or his work didn’t translate well on television.
Bourdain said he doesn’t pay much mind to it, and that “I kinda don’t really take myself that seriously, so I don’t really care.” He added that he’s “not afraid to look like an idiot on TV; it happens a lot.”
“We don’t have hair or makeup, for instance,” Bourdain said. “It would be interesting to show up on a show with like a Trumpian Cheeto tan. Actually, I should try that.”
This isn’t the first time the host of CNN’s “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown” has commented on Trump.
In June, Bourdain told the New York Daily News that the presidential candidate he would like to have a meal with is Trump, but “for all the wrong reasons.”
“I’d like to see him struggle with chopsticks and eat a well done f—-ing steak,” said Bourdain. On the menu? Bourdain suggested he would feed Trump steak tartare.
