WESTMINSTER, Calif. (AP) — A woman accused of pushing her roommate off his motorized scooter during a fight has been charged with several misdemeanors, including domestic violence battery and vandalism.
Orange County district attorney’s spokeswoman Farrah Emami says 47-year-old Laura Angela Cox will be arraigned Tuesday on the charges.
Authorities allege Cox was high on methamphetamine when she pushed her roommate off his scooter as he blocked her way during a shouting match.
Prosecutors say Cox then got in her pickup truck, put it in reverse and backed into the scooter twice before she drove away.
A neighbor recorded some of the fight on her cellphone and posted it online.
