Gov. Rick Perry, R-Texas, endorsed Newt Gingrich today after suspending his presidential campaign, and seemed to counter his own debate attack about Gingrich’s infidelities by reminding Christian voters of the need for forgiveness.

“Today I am suspending my campaign and endorsing Newt Gingrich,” Perry said, describing Newt as a “conservative visionary.”
