Actor Antonio Sabato Jr. says he’s thinking about ditching Hollywood to run for office. This after being bullied by the Left for supporting then-candidate Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention back in July.
“I have been attacked since day one,” Sabato said Friday during an interview on OANN’s “The Daily Ledger Show.” “Hollywood doesn’t want to hire me as much anymore. It’s so disgusting.”
Sabato, who has been in the business for 30 years, says he’s losing work in the TV industry because of to his support for President Trump and for promoting conservative causes. “I’m seriously thinking about running for Congress. I’m going to work really hard, and if I do run, I’m going to win,” Sabato said.
He also took aim at rapper Snoop Dog whose new music video depicts the rapper shooting a clown dressed as Trump. “It’s disgusting to me, to see these types of things on television,” Sabato said. “We should be behind our president, he won fair and square.”
The actor went on to say that Trump has done more in 50 days than President Barack Obama did in 8 years. “Believe me, he will be re-elected four years from now,” Sabato said, adding that he hopes to be in Congress by then, working with the president. “I’m so eager to get in and fight for what I believe in. I’m not going to stand for what’s wrong anymore.”
As for how Trump is doing in office, Sabato gives him high marks. “Considering the fact that both parties are against him, and they’re always making stories up, he’s still standing strong, I’ll put him up there at a 10 — Actually, an 11.”
Sabato resides in Westlake Village, Calif., a community that straddles the Los Angeles and Ventura county line. The 26th congressional district is represented by Rep. Julia Brownley, D-Calif., who has served the district since January 2013.
