PADUCAH, Ky. (AP) — Jamie Paxton has been named controller of his family’s company, Paxton Media Group LLC.
The company said Thursday that Paxton will also be group controller for its daily newspapers in Paducah, Owensboro and Madisonville, Ky., and Vincennes, Ind., and related weekly properties. Besides Kentucky and Indiana, the properties are also located in Illinois and Tennessee.

Paxton, son of Paxton Media President and CEO David Paxton, joined the company in 2007 as controller for The Paducah Sun. He later became senior accountant on the corporate staff and was previously with Deloitte in Atlanta as an audit professional. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Notre Dame,
Paxton Media is based in Paducah. It publishes 45 community newspapers, WPSD-TV in Paducah and WFKN-AM in Franklin, Ky.
