A heavily intoxicated David Hasselhoff was rushed to the hospital Sunday afternoon with alcohol poisoning, renewing his family’s and his fans’ fears that his drinking problem is out of control. The former “Baywatch” star’s daughter Hayley called 911 to his Encino home after he went on a bender for more than a day, Radar Online reported. The 17-year-old was said to be crying heavily as she accompanied him to the medical facility.
Sadly, the actor was hospitalized for alcohol poisoning as recently as May. The site reports that this has happened five times over the past few years. The shocking footage of the “America’s Got Talent” judge that famously made the rounds of the Internet evidently did not serve as the wake-up call his daughters had hoped for.
“It’s sad,” a source said. “He needs help and he’s in denial.” Let’s hope he gets that help before it’s too late.
Michael Movie?
Is Michael Jackson’s supposed “love child” planning to play the late singer on film? According to a British tabloid, Omer Bhatti, who was close to the King of Pop during his life, has the Jackson family’s blessing to play him in a biopic.
The 24-year-old Norway native lived at Neverland for a spell, has worked as a Michael impersonator, and was seated with the entertainer’s family at his public memorial service — giving rise to rumors that the “Billie Jean” singer was his biological dad. Now, the U.K.’s Sun claims that he will play the adult Michael in a movie.
“Michael’s story from childhood to the height of success is nothing short of astounding,” a family friend reportedly told the paper. “It needs to be told and that’s what his family wants.
“The family feels fans would love to see a dramatic retelling,” added the friend. “They want to cover his childhood and family life but focus on when his career went into overdrive.”
We have our doubts about this report, but a Michael biopic certainly would be interesting — especially if we were looking out for a family resemblance.
Courtney: Potty Trouble
Woe be to anyone who walks in on Courtney Love in the bathroom. When a hapless party guest accidentally opened the door to see the Hole rocker on the toilet, she “went nuts” and lunged at him, the New York Post reports.
An attendee at the New York Times’ party for its style magazine says he was looking to leave “and asked someone to show me the door.”
Unfortunately, opening that door turned out to reveal “Courtney Love, sitting on the toilet with her skirt around her ankles.” Though he quickly shut the door, “she stormed out screaming, ‘I am going to get you thrown out!’ She jumped on me, went crazy and dragged me over to security by the arm and claimed that I’d attacked her.”
“They were trying to calm her down, but she was out of control. She was like a possessed woman,” recalls the party guest, a pharmacist. “I absolutely did not attack her — I was trying to get away.”
“Thankfully, she’d remembered to pull up her skirt,” he adds. (Indeed.) Security, unsurprisingly, advised him that “it’s best you get away as fast as possible.”
The unfortunate fellow laments, “I never wanted to see Courtney Love on the toilet. It wasn’t a pretty sight. I just wanted to get out of there.”
Well, at least she was using the bathroom for its intended purpose.
