Joe Biden: Parkland students are ‘going to win’ on gun control

Former Vice President Joe Biden said Friday that students from Parkland, Fla. are “going to win” the fight for gun control and beat the National Rifle Association.

“They’re going to win,” Biden told MSNBC on Friday. “Watch.”

“We can beat the NRA,” Biden said as he made an appearance on Capitol Hill ahead of Saturday’s highly-anticipated gun control march set to flood the streets of Washington, D.C.

Citing his own battles as a lawmaker to enact national background checks, bans on assault weapons, and the number of bullets allowed in a clip, the former vice president said enacting new legislation is “doable.”

“It’s doable. We’ll do it again because of these kids,” Biden proclaimed.

Since the shooting, many of the survivors and family members of the 17 people killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., have become heavily involved in the gun control debate and meeting with supporters like Biden.
