CVS fires pharmacist for refusing hormone medication to transgender customer

CVS Health has fired a pharmacist in Arizona for refusing to dispense hormone medication to a transgender woman.

The company released a statement of apology to the woman, Hilde Hall, saying that the pharmacist “violated company policies and does not reflect our values or our commitment to inclusion, nondiscrimination and the delivery of outstanding patient care.”
