Trump says Clinton ‘should be in prison’ for emails

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said his opponent Hillary Clinton “should be in prison” for her usage of a private email server during her time as Secretary of State.

Speaking in Manheim, Penn. Saturday night, Trump hit Clinton on her private email server and set up, alleging that the only reason it’s not dragging her down in the election is because of supposed protection from the media.

Trump ripped Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey for testifying in front of Congress about the investigation and not producing an investigation that resulted in criminal charges.

“One of the worst things I’ve ever witnessed as a citizen of the United States was last week when the FBI director was trying so hard to explain how she got away with what she got away with,” Trump said. “She should be in prison, let me tell you. She should be in prison.”

Trump added that the New York Times, which wrote a major story in the spring of 2015 exposing Clinton’s private email set up, the Washington Post and CNN have all been protecting the former First Lady.

“She’s being protected by many of these groups and it’s not like, ‘Oh, gee, do you think she’s guilty?'” he said. “She’s admitted she’s guilty and then she lies and lies and lies.”

Trump spent much of the rally attacking Clinton, slamming her for her comments on the supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders during the primary campaign released on Friday and her infamous “deplorables” comment last month.

He said Clinton thinks anyone who isn’t in voting for her is “defective.”

“If you’re not a die hard Clinton fan, if you’re not a supporter, from day one, Hillary Clinton thinks you’re a defective person,” he said. “That’s what she’s going around saying. How on Earth can Hillary Clinton try and lead this country when she has nothing but contempt for the people who live in this country?”
