Southwest flight attendant brilliantly performs safety announcement like a comedy routine

If an air traveler couldn’t sit back and enjoy the flight after this bit of humor, he’s hopeless.

A Southwest Airlines flight attendant channeled her inner stand-up comedian when making the usual pre-flight safety announcement, a recent YouTube upload shows. She rattled off one-liners about every procedure, it seemed, including a no-smoking warning.

“If we do make you that nervous the next hour and a half, you’re more than welcome to step outside. We don’t discriminate at Southwest. We have a special smoking section just for you,” she said in the middle of what was either a remarkably well-prepared routine or a stream-of-consciousness monologue that rivaled the best works of Joyce.

The passengers, bound for Salt Lake City, Utah, based on what the attendant said in the video, clearly enjoyed themselves for the three-minute spiel. Watch and enjoy, yourself.
