A juvenile and a 24-year-old Prince William County man were charged in the theft of a large amount of copper wire from a Nokesville home.
At about 1 p.m. Friday, a homeowner found two men removing the copper from his property, police said. The suspects fled in a vehicle which ended up crashing into a tree.

A 16-year-old was captured at the site of the crash, but the other suspect, later identified as Joshua R. Quillen, fled on foot.
Police recovered $12,000 worth of copper wire.
Quillen, of Nokesville, was taken into custody the next day, police said. He was charged with grand larceny, possession with intent to sell stolen property, trespassing, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and conspiracy.
Charges are pending against the teen, who was determined to be the driver of the getaway vehicle, police said.
