Readers of a new release by D.C. Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton on Wednesday could have been forgiven for thinking our member of Congress was in outer space.
“On Space Shuttle Norton Seeks to Speak with D.C. Native Astronaut,” the subject line of the e-mail read. Turns out that wasn’t the case. Rather, Norton was detailing her attempts to speak with Col. Alvin Drew, a D.C. native currently aboard the space shuttle.
“We in the District of Columbia are proud to claim Alvin Drew as a native son and congratulate him on being selected for this mission,” she said.
