Camera catches John Kerry ‘napping’ on the job

We all miss preschool nap time. Even world leaders.

Just ask Secretary of State John Kerry, who seemed to be nodding off today during a press conference in Poland — one featuring his boss, no less. Via ABC News:

Kerry is with President Obama this week as he makes a tour through Europe. The trip kicked off Tuesday in Warsaw with a joint press conference including Obama and Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski.

The major news from the press conference was Obama’s announcement of a $1 billion plan to increase the United States’ military presence in central and eastern Europe.

“Our commitment to Poland’s security as well as the security of our allies in central and eastern Europe is a cornerstone of our own security and it is sacrosanct,” Obama said.

Reports haven’t confirmed whether Kerry was actually awake for this announcement.

All kidding aside, Kerry was actually nodding off while Poland’s president was speaking rather than Obama, if that makes it any better.

Kerry has already come out on the defense, tweeting that the cameras unfortunately caught him in a “long blink.”
