Jorida Davidson, the Albanian woman accused of a deadly hit-and-run in Dupont Circle, has been convicted on by a D.C. jury of negligent homicide.

Davidson, 31, turned herself in to authorities a day after her black Lexus sport utility vehicle struck and killed 24-year-old Kiela Marie Ryan, of Columbia, in October.

Davidson, who was also convicted of leaving the scene of a collision involving injury and driving while under the influence of alcohol, faces up to nearly six years in prison.

Prosecutors said Ryan was getting out of a legally parked car on Connecticut Avenue Northwest, just south of Dupont Circle, to celebrate a birthday party when she was struck by the SUV driven by Davidson. The vehicle continued without stopping.
