Prince William County police have identified the remains found behind a Woodbridge store earlier this year as a man who was reported missing in February.
Police said Tuesday that the remains are those of 42-year-old Johnny Lankford.
No foul play is suspected in his death and the remains had no obvious signs of trauma, police said.
Someone called police on May 14 after finding a human skull in the woods behind the Kmart located on the 2800 block of Dale Boulevard.
