Lanham man gets 10 years for armed bank heist

A 58-year-old Lanham man was sentenced to 10 years in prison Thursday for robbing a PNC bank in Laurel at gunpoint in April 2009.

In August, a jury in federal court in Baltimore found Thurston Sanders guilty of robbing the bank, located at 3386 Laurel Fort Meade Road.
